Endoscope Results

Well, I'm home from the endoscope.

I have severe gastritis from the esophagus down as far as she could go.  I have a scrape down my esophagus?  A scrape?  Weird.

In addition, I had two polyps.  Both were removed and are going for testing to see if they are cancerous.  My friend, Lisa, God bless her, brought me and she said the doctor didn't seem highly concerned that it's cancer. 

Stupid internet says it's not possible merely by looking at stomach polyps and determine if they are cancerous.  Stomach cancer and colon cancer runs in my family.  Joy.  The results will take 7-10 days. 

Because the gastritis went all the way down as far sas she could go, I will have the capsule camera next Friday to see what's going on further down and from there she is going to decide if a colonoscopy is in order.  I'm guessing it will be b/c of the polyps as it runs in the family and I have had colon polyps previously in my mid-20s (very rare for someone so young); however, they were not cancerous.  I have had several colonoscopies since then and I've never had polyps again but to now have them in my stomach........well.........

At least I know I'm not crazy and this is reason alone to cause the severe nausea, vomiting, significant weight loss, and severe pain I have been experiencing.

I'm not scared yet.  I'm shocked.  I figured we'd find something but I thought we'd find an ulcer and there may be ulcers farther down.  The camera capsule will find out.

*shaking head*

My husband is sick right now and he needs significant prayer.

I guess I didn't have enough stress in my life. 

Will I ever be well again?

I'm going to sleep so I don't have to think about this so please don't be offended that if someone should reply that I don't reply individually.

so, whats the plan of attack for severe gastritis down to your toes??? you need relief and to gain weight dear!

I am so  very sorry that you are having to go through this.   Geez....between you and Meggie !!!  UGH Prayers big time going out for you and for Meggie too.   I need to call her and check in on her tomorrow.   I have had a very busy couple of days !!!!  Please don't worry.....remember God won't put more on you till  you can take !!!

I think about you often, and I will keep you AND your hubby in my prayers.  please keep me posted.  Good luck with the camera girl, I'm a terrible pill swallower and I have heard that puppy is huge!  You can do it!!
